  • BSc in Computer Science

  • In the age of digitization and networking, computer science has become a fundamental science: it is impossible to imagine business, research, medicine, mobility and communication without computer science. The systematic and automatic processing of information underlies all of these applications. The bachelor's degree therefore covers all core areas of computer science: theoretical computer science, which deals with the complexity, decidability and modeling of questions; practical computer science that develops solution concepts; and computer engineering, which deals with hardware.
  • Good knowledge of mathematics: a basic understanding of mathematics and logic is essential. Experience shows that most successful students in the upper level took the advanced mathematics course.
  • Programming knowledge can usually be made up without any problems
  • Communication skills
  • Enjoy teamwork
  •

    1. A  very wide range of courses , which allows individual specialization in the course of the course.

    2. A high proportion of practice-oriented teaching : Students are introduced to practical work early on in their studies. Students benefit from the research strength of the department: The latest research results are constantly and quickly incorporated into the training of the students.

    3. Excellent job prospects:  60 percent of our graduates have a job immediately after completing their studies, after four months all graduates of a year have found a good job.

  • Computer science is used in all areas of our daily life. This means that knowledge of computer science is also needed in other industries. In order to competently keep up with this development, a Bachelor of Arts degree with a minor in computer science can be useful. In such a case, the BA course consists of a major from the humanities and social sciences and a minor in computer science. The minor in computer science has a significantly lower share of the degree than the respective major and essentially conveys the  methodology and basic content of computer science.
