  • Masters in Chemistry 

  • The master's degree in chemistry is part of the consecutive degree in chemistry. It builds on the six-semester Bachelor's degree in chemistry at the University of Stuttgart or equivalent B.Sc. programs at other universities. In addition to in-depth training in the core subjects of chemistry, the primary goal is to prepare graduates for active research or a doctorate in chemistry.

    There are currently four research profiles to choose from in the Chemistry Master’s program, which reflect the current research focus in which the faculty's scientists are active:

  • Sustainable Synthesis and Catalysis
  • Smart Materials and Functional Molecules
  • Biological Chemistry and Biotechnology
  • Theory and Simulation in Chemistry and Materials Sciences
  • Fun in chemistry, curiosity about the secrets of nature, interest in science and mathematics, experimental interest, perseverance, self-motivation, ability to work in a team and independence (especially in the area of ​​learning organization)
  • Occupational fields for which graduates of the master’s degree in chemistry are particularly qualified:

  • Further qualification through a doctorate
  • Research and development in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry
  • Research and development in other industrial companies and medium-sized companies
  • as an expert and for quality assurance in authorities and administration
  • as an expert in associations
