The BSc (Hons) Biomedical Sciences programme combines the theoretical education with practical and clinical training and aims at training students in the understanding, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of illnesses.

  • Students work in modern hospital laboratories, carrying out complex research tests and providing the information required for the clinical diagnosis of illnesses.
  • For that purpose, the modules of the Biomedical Sciences programme bear on all health sciences and offer extensive laboratory training in the required techniques of diagnostic laboratories.
  • Students –besides a basic knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Human Physiology– are taught techniques of Cellular Biology and Genetics as well as their medical applications.
  • Emphasis is also placed on the cellular etiology of the diseases and in their diagnosis by using specialized methods.
