GRE Exam Dates
- On the GRE official site, click on the “Test Centers and Dates”. You will be provided all the information about choosing the GRE exam Dates and Centers on the page.
- Click on the link “View test centers, test dates and seat availability", and you will be directed to the center selection page.
- On that page, choose the exam type (General or Subjective), your GRE test locations details (preferably city), and the month you are willing to take the test in.
- After mentioning all the asked details, select the option “Find available test centers and dates”
- You will be taken to a page where a calendar will be showing available GRE exam dates and seats. You can look for the centers by both GRE exam dates and distance.

GRE Subject Test Dates
GRE Subject Tests are given at Paper Delivered Test Centers. They are conducted three times a year during:
- September
- April
- October
How many times one can take GRE exam dates?
The candidate can take the GRE exam only once after 21 days from the last GRE exam date every year, a maximum of 5 times a year. It applies even when the GRE scores of the test taken previously by the candidate are canceled.
What is the Best Time to take the GRE exam dates?
If you are planning to take admission in September (Fall Intake), then you should take the exam latest by June. For April – May (Spring intake), the exam should be taken by December and not later than that. That will give you enough time (about two months) to work on your essays.
