Requirements to study in Armenia
To study at the universities in Armenia, you need to provide some important documents:
- To get admission for a bachelor’s degree, the applicant should have a secondary school education and corresponding certificate.

- To get admission for a doctoral degree, the applicant should have a masters degree

Study in Armenia fees
The tuition fee at the universities in Armenia is not very expensive. For bachelor studies, you can expect the tuition fee from 400,000 AMD ($833) to 4.1 million AMD ($8,540). On the other hand, Postgraduate programs are cheaper. You have to spend around 380,000 AMD ($791) to 3.8 million ($8,064) per year on tuition fee in the master’s program.
Cost of living in Armenia
Living costs in the Republic of Armenia are relatively lower than those of other European countries. However, The living expenses vary depending on the lifestyle. The average cost of living in Armenia for international students is around 275,000 AMD to 355,000 AMD. This included accommodation, food, utilities, and other essential expenses.
Scholarships to study in Armenia for international students
The list of scholarships in Armenia for international students ranges from fully funded to limited support or tuition fee waiver. Even the government of Armenia offers scholarships to international students. Most of the study courses also come with fully-funded scholarships and fellowships as well as travel grants and financial aid. Thus international students have plenty of scholarships to apply for. Armenia has signed contracts with many countries for providing scholarships and financial assistance to international students.
Student visa for Armenia
Once you get enrolled in the Armenian university, the particular institution will apply for entry permission for you in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). After getting entry permission from the MFA, you must apply for a student visa in the nearest Armenian embassy. Complete the visa application form accurately and submit it along with the supporting documents. The documents required are:
- Visa application form: It must be filled and signed
- A valid travel document: Passport
- Three passports sized photos
- Invitation (if required)
- A Cover letter( should include the reason and duration of stay in Armenia)
- Admission letter from the Armenian educational institution
- English language proficiency proof: IELTS or TOEFL score certificates
- Tuition fee receipt
- Educational documents: Certificates, degrees and mark sheets; secondary education graduation certificate or Certificates from the university.
- Accommodation proof: It can be a rent agreement or letter from an institution (if you choose o campus accommodation)
- Evidence of financial means
- Evidence of a valid health insurance
The Embassy will issue a single entry visa for Armenia. For this, you have to pay the charges in the embassy itself. Once you are in Armenia, you will get your resident card without any fee.
