The urban environment is composed of a series of interlinked cultural systems: architectural concerns (integrating new buildings) are closely entwined with environmental, agronomic, health, energy, social and economic concerns. This has an impact on all stages of projects, from design to execution and management.
The MSc Urban Agriculture and Green Cities is designed to train up future managers who see urban agriculture as an integral component of the entire urban life cycle. This cross-disciplinary program touches on several disciplines, including agronomy, architecture, planning and geography. As well as incorporating economic, political and social aspects, it prepares students for decision-making in a complex environment where the future may be uncertain.
The program aims to provide future managers with training in professions involving urban innovation strategies and sustainable environmental development, while incorporating and applying innovative horticultural solutions to the built environment.
The MSc anticipates future needs, giving engineers/project leaders, consultants and analysts the hybrid skills they need for a successful career in the public or private sector. »
Applicant must have a Bachelor degree
